Reading comprehensionQuestion 189 of 550

Bees live in an organized colony. It has one queen, thousands of workers and some males. The queen stays inside the hive to lay eggs. The workers go out to collect nectar from flowers. When a bee finds a field of flowers, it returns and dances a special dance. With this dance it shows its sisters the direction and the distance of the field. Then the bees change the nectar into honey and store it in six-sided cells made of wax. The workers defend the hive with their sting when they sense danger. In the busy season, one worker lives only a few weeks. Bees help people in two ways. They give honey, and they carry pollen between plants, so that the plants make fruit and seeds.
